Design-to-Procurement of Pressure Relief Devices
June 17, 2004. Salem, New Hampshire: ioMosaic President Dr.
Georges A. Melhem announced today that ioMosaic will soon be implementing
pilots for its web-based Design-to-Procurement (D2P) of Pressure Relief Devices
solution.
Launched by ioMosaic and Tyco International earlier this year, D2P is a joint
industry project geared towards streamlining and integrating the business
processes related to pressure relief device design and procurement. In addition
to helping operating companies select the optimum relief device for a
particular contingency, D2P provides an automated solution for relief device
sourcing and order placement.
“D2P is a highly innovative application that will deliver tangible benefits
throughout the pressure relief device value chain”, said Dr. Melhem. “From
helping relief device manufacturers tap into new markets to providing operating
companies with the most comprehensive relief device sourcing platform, D2P's
architecture is structured to deliver benefits to vendors, engineering firms,
and operating companies.”
Operating sites interested in implementing a pilot are requested to contact
ioMosaic at d2p@iomosaic.com.
